Best Workout Game - Lose Weight
Not the type of person to work out at a gym? Do you have excuses that you never have time to work out? Well, there are no excuses now. You can work out in your own home at any time. Even a 15 minute workout is better than nothing!!

If you are searching for a great workout game for the WII - the EA Sports Active: More Workouts is it. CON: It does not come with the resistance band or remote holder like the 1st game. You will need to purchase the accessory pack with the remote holder and resistance band or you could just purchase the 1st game (EA Sports Active) as well. I myself upgraded to better quality resistance band and I bought two extra bands from Sports Authority. One is medium resistance and the other band is a hard resistance. I use the hard resistance band for bicep curls and other arm excercises. I can really feel the burn! By the way, I use both EA Sports games during the week.

EA Sports Active: More Workouts has also included exercises that work your core muscles like crunches, and leg lifts. This game will keep you motivated and you will probably start eating heathier because you will now realize all the work you had to do to burn 200 calories. You will probably stay away from the snicker bars and instead cut up a juicy pineapple for a nice healthy snack!

You can also customize your own workouts as well. If you are trying to work a specific area you can add exercises to work lower or upper body or just do cardio. For example I created a butt workout. Lots of squats and lunges, including paddle surfing, and water skiing.

The game does have some quirks - sometimes it tells me that I am not doing an exercise correctly and I have to shake the remote a bit to get to the next rep.

So far (10 months) I have lost 45 lbs and lots of inches. Went from a size 14 to a size 6. Everyone wanted to know what I did to lose the weight and I had to tell them about this great game. It will keep you motivated!

Great for Getting Serious
I purchased this game as a step up from the Wii Fit Plus game I started working out with. It is definitely a way to get serious about challenging myself physically--I have been doing this for two days and I feel the difference in sweat and a few tears. It is not as much fun as the Wii Fit because it is more workout than game, although there are some fun game activities as part of the workouts. There is only one drawback I have found: for some exercises my avatar fills the screen and the instructor is in a small box to the side. My eye tends to go to the large figure which is not leading me through the exercises (it follows my movements) and everything stops. Hopefully this will work out with practice, but it is annoying trying to see the little box with bifocals while squatting, etc. This is why I gave the game 4 stars overall. For working up a sweat, it is definitely a 5.

I have used the premade workouts so far, and they are excellent. There is a warmup and cooldown/stretching, and a good variety of activities to keep the time flowing by. I haven't started the 6 week challenge yet, but that is an option I am looking forward to utilizing.

I purchased this version of Sports Active rather than the original to see if I would like the format, etc., before investing more than $50. I found this version along with the Wii 5-in-1 Active Sports Kit was an economical way to go. The game stands on its own without the earlier version, so I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to try the EA Sports Active franchise. Overall, a great workout for someone looking to get serious about getting in shape.

Even better than I expected
From reading some of the harsher reviews on this game, I was a tad skeptical when I got this, but I definately do not regret it. The 40$ price tag was a little steep, but I watched it for a few weeks and the price dropped to less than half that! I must say, I did love the original but I enjoy this one as well! I love all the new pre-programmed workouts, I love how they are different and not the same as the ones on the other game. Like others have said, I would of enjoyed the option to see the workouts from the preview game, but that's not a big deal to me. I love how the setting is tropical, it is a nice change of pace! I love the trainers, love the encouragement, they actually really help in my opinion! I love the challenges, it isn't too easy or hard (I am a 19 year old, fairly athletic). Even for me there are challenges, but I know this could accommodate beginners as well! I love the variety and was very pleased with this game. Of course, if you don't have the original, there is the downside of not having the leg strap and/or bands, but, I had the original so I did not have this problem. Personally, I would reccommend getting both! They are well worth the money and, while a gym and going out for a run etc is a great alternative, this is a great idea on a rainy day, or a humid gross day, OR if you simply don't have the money for a gym membership. I love the game and don't understand the bad reviews that it gets, they are only fair and few, but still. I would definately reccommend this to anyone.

Great fitness
A different way to be in shape, a lot of diferent routins.

I found everything I was expecting about the program. I work all my body and I can take control of my workout days and resting days.

It is great.

Ordered prematurely.
This product did not have what I thought was going to be in there. I spent birthday money on something
I guess I didn't read enough about. It didn't have the parts to actually play this or work out on the Wii.
