Wii

It seemed like forever until we were finally able to purchase one of these, but I LOVE it. It's so much fun. I'm not big on sitting down and playing video games all day on my butt, but this thing really gets you moving, even in your typical RPG games you have to move a little. A lot of fun and highly recommended. I originally wanted a different system, but I'm SO GLAD I got this one. If you're not sure which system you want, GET THIS ONE!!!!

Easy to set up. Network connection was easy.
The Remotes and Nunchucks are a bit spendy when you have to buy three more of each. The Wii usually only comes with one set. Altho, you can hold off on the Nunchucks as there aren't very many multipayer games where you can use three or more people that need the Nunchucks. Usually just two people need it. And then you'll have to buy the Game Pad to play the older games if you are used to using it. But then some of the Wii's are now coming with the rubber "protectors" already on the Remotes so that's great.

A blast when playing with more then one person on some of the games. We haven't really bought many games for it as the grand kids are just getting to the point of being able to play now. The attention span just isn't there yet. The games we do have are great to play.

You really need a balance board to fully enjoy this game. It offers a full exercise plan. Keeps track of your exercises, and calorie loss. I like it.

Played for just 2 days and the Wii Game CD does not want to come out. When i searched teh internet i found so many people had the same issue. Since we liked the Wii, we decided to get a replacement unit. The replacement also had same issues as teh first one. But unlike the first one the second ejected the CDs after couple of tries.

Returning back for refund now.

Other things you might want to consider.

By default you will get only composite output cable (1 Video + 2 Audio). The new LED TV i bought Sharp 46LE810UN just have only one composite input and i have also noticed that the 2010 model TVs are reducing their composite input and increasing the HDMI input. Though you can buy the Wii component cable (3 Video + 2 Audio) from the market, it is very disappointing to see that Wii does not have HDMI out by default.

Would be better if the Wii has a hard power off switch. Not sure whether this is teh cause of the Game CDs get struck when left it in the console for a long time. Also, the weird thing is that if you do not completely shut off the Wii, the Game CD input CD blinks occasionally.

Wish we could have a remote recharge option available from the console or as additional accessory.

Got the Wii to get Wii Fit for days when I can't do my normal exercise routine. So far so good. Don't know if I'll ever play any other games, but enjoy using the Wii Fit.
